Spaceship boogie music, with guests Frederick Heberle and GW Starsider plus robot selectors Pussy Milneaux and Olaf Quintessa

Following on from a great first night of Italo at the Drome on 1st October, we're back with guest DJs Frederick Heberle and GW Starsider on the 29th. Both DJs are digging deep in their archives to pull out the most suave robotic funk and disco vocoder action they can find. Not a style of music you hear very often in SL, it's going to be a treat!

Massive thanks to Fred and GW who both played fantastic sets and got the italo vibe going! Also thanks to everyone who came along and made it a great night.. Looking forward to Italo night 3 in November.. watch this space!

For anyone still uninitiated into the glorious goodness of Italo disco:

"Italo disco has a distinct, futuristic and spacey sound, which was created using synthesizers, drum machines, and vocoders. It is one of the world's first forms of completely electronic dance music that evolved during the late 1970s and early 1980s in Italy, France, Spain, Germany, and other parts of Europe." (Wikipedia)

In other words, it's electro before there was electro, and it's disco after disco was dead!

Lineup (all times SLT):
12pm-1pm: Frederick Heberle
1pm-2pm: GW Starsider
2pm onwards: Robot selectors Pussy Milneaux and Olaf Quintessa (Click here for full tracklist)

Venue: The Drome in Second Life
